Welcome to this extremely difficult hiking route in the beautiful mountains of Bolzano!
You will start your journey at the trailhead and begin your 12.471-kilometer trek with an elevation gain of 1266 meters. Make sure to pack plenty of water and snacks as this hike will take you approximately 6 hours to complete.
Along the way, you will encounter several points of interest:
- The Tomleg picnic site is situated right at the start of the trail, a perfect spot to take a rest and enjoy the surroundings.
- As you continue, you will pass by the Schlernbödele Hütte, a cozy alpine hut where you can take a break and refuel.
- Further ahead, you'll reach the Schlernhaus, another alpine hut with amazing views, a great place to stop for a meal or spend the night.
- The Petz viewpoint offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, a perfect photo opportunity.
- Keep an eye out for the Santner Kanzele viewpoint, offering breathtaking views that are worth the extra effort to reach.
- Before turning back, you'll find an information point and a bench to relax and take in the beauty of the area.
This out-and-back route will lead you to the Santner Kanzele, where you can take a moment to appreciate the incredible scenery before making your way back.
