Welcome to the Hirschgrundkegel hiking route. This circular route offers a pleasant 1.63 kilometers trek with an elevation gain of 76 meters, making it a super easy trail suitable for hikers of all levels.

The hike starts at the parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this scenic adventure. As you begin your journey, you will come across the DAV Leipzig information point, providing you with some insights into the area's history and topography, just at the beginning of the trail.

Continuing along the path, about midway through, you will find a bench where you can take a break and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Further ahead, at around 0.7 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Wartturm, a peak offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. Nearby, you will also see the Hirschgrundkegel, another peak worth exploring, located just 0.78 kilometers from the start.

Throughout the hike, you may come across various climbing spots, such as the Hirschgrundscheibe, Vorderer Hirschgrundturm, and Scherge. These provide opportunities for those looking to add some excitement to their trek.

Additionally, there are several viewpoints along the trail, like the one at 0.7 kilometers from the start, offering panoramic vistas of the area. Don't forget to check out the picnic site at 0.52 kilometers from the start, perfect for a snack or lunch break amidst nature.
