Welcome to the hiking route to Griesgrundwächter!

This hiking trail is located in a beautiful area with stunning natural surroundings. The route is an out-and-back type, meaning you will retrace your steps on the way back.

As you start your journey, you will come across DAV Leipzig, a great spot for some information and maybe to prepare yourself for the adventure ahead. Continuing on, at the beginning of the trail, you will find a parking area where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike.

As you make your way along the trail, you will pass by some interesting points of interest. About 0.04 kilometers from the start, you will find a water source, perfect for refilling your water bottles. Further along, at around 0.11 kilometers from the start, you will come across Tümpelgrundturm, a peak where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 0.35 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Kernzonengrenze, providing an interesting insight into the area.

As you continue on, you will encounter Griesgrundwächter, a peak located about 0.66 kilometers from the start. This peak offers a great climbing opportunity for those inclined. Nearby, you will also find Elbgucke and Erikascheibe peaks, which offer further climbing challenges.
