Located in the scenic area of Saxon Switzerland, the hiking route to Hockstein offers a delightful adventure for nature enthusiasts. With a distance of approximately 1.332 kilometers and an elevation gain of 39 meters, this super easy trail is perfect for hikers of all levels.

As you embark on this out-and-back trail, you'll encounter various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find Pension & Gasthaus Polenztal, a charming restaurant where you can refuel before your journey. Further along, at around 0.23 kilometers from the start, you'll come across a convenient bench where you can take a rest and enjoy the surroundings.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 0.6 kilometers from the start, you'll find Hocksteinturm, a peak perfect for taking in panoramic views of the region. Near Hocksteinturm, you can also explore Hockstein, another peak with its own unique charm. Additionally, at 0.51 kilometers from the start, don't miss Hocksteinaussicht, a viewpoint offering stunning vistas of the landscape.

As you approach the end of the trail, around 0.65 kilometers from the start, you'll find Hocksteinhöhle, a cave entrance worth exploring if you're up for a little adventure. And finally, before you head back, make a stop at Polenztalschänke, where you can relax and unwind after your hike.
