This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Halbenweg in Hohnstein. The trail is super easy, spanning over 1.8 kilometers with an elevation gain of 69 meters. It should take you approximately 35 minutes to complete the out-and-back journey.
Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find the Pension & Gasthaus Polenztal, where you can enjoy some refreshments. Further along, at 0.21 kilometers from the start, you'll come across the peak known as Großer Halben, a perfect spot for climbing enthusiasts.
As you continue your hike, you'll pass by the Hocksteinturm peak and the Hockstein viewpoint, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Further on, at 0.47 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the Unteres Schloss (Lower Castle), a historic site that adds a touch of culture to your outdoor adventure.
