This moderate 6.476 kilometer out-and-back hiking route takes you through the beautiful area surrounding Poggio Castellaro. The trail starts at a convenient parking area where you can leave your vehicle before beginning your adventure.

As you embark on your journey, you will come across a refreshing water source just 0.09 kilometers from the start, perfect for filling up your water bottle before continuing on. Further along the trail, at 2.6 kilometers in, you will encounter another water source to replenish your supplies.

At the 3.24 kilometer mark, you will reach the peak of Poggio Castellaro, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the stunning landscape below. Be sure to take a moment to soak in the natural beauty that surrounds you.

On your way back, at 2.75 kilometers from the start, you will pass by the peak of La Pianaccia, although it is slightly off the main trail. While it may require a short detour, the views from this peak are definitely worth the visit.

This hike features a total elevation gain of 253.0 meters and is expected to take around 2 hours and 7 minutes to complete.
