This hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of Punta Suia, offering stunning views and a challenging trek. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of approximately 4.842 kilometers and an elevation gain of 636 meters, making it a difficult hike that will test your stamina and endurance.
As you start your journey, you will pass by a parking area, around 0.66 kilometers into the trail, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on the adventure. Further along the path, at approximately 1.25 kilometers from the start, you will find Funte Minigua, a refreshing spring where you can take a break and replenish your water supply.
Continuing on, at about 1.39 kilometers from the start, you will come across informational points that provide insights into the area's history and natural surroundings. Benches are conveniently placed along the trail at 1.53 kilometers, offering hikers a place to rest and enjoy the scenic views.
As you trek onwards, you may encounter Tanna da Suja, a cave entrance located 1.85 kilometers from the start, and Grotta dell'Eremita, a wayside shrine around 0.26 kilometers into the trail. These unique landmarks add to the appeal of the hike and provide interesting points of interest along the way.
As you near the end of the trail, at approximately 1.11 kilometers from the start, you will reach Punta Crovino, a natural peak offering breathtaking panoramic vistas of the surrounding landscape. Finally, at 2.42 kilometers from the start, you will arrive at the destination of Punta Suia, where you can enjoy the rewarding views from the peak and take in the sense of accomplishment from completing this challenging hike.
