This hiking route takes you to Monte Fasce, a beautiful area with stunning views and rich history. The trail is 7.147 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 666 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
As you start your journey, you will pass by a parking area about 0.16 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. About 3.57 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the historic Crocefisso in Metallo wayside cross, followed by the peak of Monte Fasce at the same location. This is a great spot to take in panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Along the way, you will also find dining options such as Trattoria del Liberale and Le Cantine Dello Stagnino. It's advisable to bring water, but if you run out, drinking water sources are available at various points along the trail.
Further into the hike, at around 1.08 kilometers from the start, you can explore the ruins of Ex cave argillite and the Tana dell'Orso cave entrance at 1.47 kilometers.
As you make your way back, there are benches and a wayside shrine for resting and reflection about 0.33 kilometers from the start.
