This challenging hiking route explores the beautiful Monte Fasce area, offering stunning views and historic landmarks along the way. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 7.147 kilometers and an elevation gain of 666 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding trek.
As you start your journey, you'll come across a convenient parking area just 0.16 kilometers from the trailhead. Further along, at 0.94 kilometers from the start, you'll find a refreshing drinking water fountain to refill your water bottles.
Around the 1.47-kilometer mark, you'll encounter the entrance to the Tana dell'Orso cave, adding a sense of adventure to your hike. As you continue, at 2.12 kilometers, you'll spot the impressive peak of Monte Borriga in the distance.
At the midway point of 3.57 kilometers, you'll reach both the Crocefisso in Metallo wayside cross and the peak of Monte Fasce, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. If you're in need of a break, the Trattoria del Liberale restaurant at 2.36 kilometers from the start is a great spot to refuel and rest before your return journey.
