This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route will take you to the Bremer Hütte in a picturesque area with a total distance of 23.209 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1815 meters. It is recommended to allocate approximately 9 hours and 54 minutes for this challenging hike.
Starting at Parkplatz Ruetz Katarakt, the trail will lead you through various points of interest along the way. At the beginning of the hike, you will come across the Katharinas und Roberts Bänkla, where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surroundings. Further ahead, you will pass by the wayside cross, providing a glimpse into the area's historic significance.
As you continue on the trail, you will encounter several water sources, including those at the 11.33-kilometer mark and the 11.55-kilometer mark. These natural water sources can be refreshing pit stops during your journey. Additionally, make sure to visit the Aussichtsplattform Langetaler Wasserfall viewpoint for a stunning vista of the waterfall.
Midway through the hike, you will reach Nürnberger Hütte, a restaurant and alpine hut where you can take a break and refuel before continuing on. Along the way, you will also find benches for resting scattered throughout the trail.
