Welcome to the hiking route at Il Calvario! This challenging 10.066 km out-and-back trail offers stunning views and a variety of points of interest along the way.

Starting at Malga Caldea, you'll begin your journey with a slight elevation gain. As you make your way through the lush landscape, you'll come across Laghetto d'Avio, a beautiful natural water feature located 2.57 km from the start of the trail. This peaceful spot is perfect for a rest or some birdwatching.

Further along the trail, approximately 0.04 km from the start, you'll find a picnic site where you can enjoy a meal surrounded by nature. Make sure to refill your water bottle at the drinking water station located 2.39 km from the start to stay hydrated during your hike.

As you continue on, you'll come across information points where you can learn more about the area's flora and fauna. Keep an eye out for the two waterfalls located 5.03 km from the start - one is directly on the trail, while the other is a short distance off the path.

For a unique hiking experience, consider stopping at one of the BBQ spots located 0.04 km from the start for a delicious al fresco meal.

This route features a total elevation gain of 419.0 meters and is classified as difficult due to its length and challenging terrain. Be sure to wear sturdy hiking shoes, bring plenty of water, and check the weather forecast before setting out on this adventure.
