This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the stunning landscapes of the area around Rifugio Giuseppe Garibaldi. With a total distance of 16.64 kilometers and an elevation gain of 937 meters, this hike is definitely a challenging adventure for experienced hikers.
Starting at Malga Caldea, you will begin your journey through the wilderness. Along the way, you will come across several points of interest. Just 2.57 kilometers from the start, you will find the picturesque Laghetto d'Avio, a tranquil waterbody perfect for a peaceful moment.
As you continue on the trail, approximately 5.03 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a beautiful waterfall, adding to the natural beauty of the surroundings. Further ahead, at the 8.32 kilometer mark, you will reach Lago Venerocolo, another stunning water feature worth exploring.
Midway through the hike, at 8.32 kilometers from the start, you will reach Rifugio Giuseppe Garibaldi, an alpine hut where you can take a break, refuel, and enjoy the breathtaking views of the area. The hut is open from June 20 to September 20 and offers accommodation for weary hikers.
