Welcome to the Birch Loop trail in Whitehorse! This challenging out-and-back route covers a distance of 9.94 kilometers with an elevation gain of 135 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding hike.
Starting at the parking area located right at the beginning of the trail, you'll embark on your journey through the scenic wilderness. About 2.3 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across a refreshing water source, perfect for refilling your water bottle.
As you continue on, at around 4.97 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach a picturesque viewpoint where you can take in stunning panoramic views of the surrounding nature. This is a great spot to take a break, snap some photos, and soak in the beauty of the landscape.
Near the viewpoint, you'll also find a campsite where you can rest and enjoy a meal before heading back on the trail. If you want to grab a bite to eat after your hike, Smoke & Sow restaurant is located just 0.39 kilometers away from the trail.
Remember to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before you head out. This hike will take approximately 2 hours and 38 minutes to complete, so make sure to plan accordingly.
