Located in the beautiful region of Tuscany, this hiking route offers a moderate challenge with a distance of 2.778 kilometers and an elevation gain of 317 meters. The starting point of the trail is at a convenient parking area located at the trailhead.
As you embark on your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the way. Approximately 0.48 kilometers into the hike, you will find a drinking water station to fill up your water bottles. Further along, at 0.69 kilometers, there is a historic wayside shrine worth exploring.
Continuing on, at around 1.2 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the "Baita degli Scoiattoli", an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy a snack with a beautiful view. Close by, at 1.25 kilometers, you will encounter the "Bimba del Procinto" peak, followed by "Piccolo Procinto" peak at 1.29 kilometers.
At approximately 1.39 kilometers into the hike, you will have the option to explore the "Ferrata del Procinto" and "Variante ferrata Cintura del Procinto" via ferratas for a more adventurous experience. Nearby, you will also find the "Monte Procinto" peak.
Before heading back, make sure to visit the "Torrione Bacci" peak at the end of the trail. The viewpoint at this location offers a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding area, making it a perfect spot to rest and take in the beauty of nature.
