Located in the stunning Pianezzi area, this hiking route offers a challenging yet rewarding experience for outdoor enthusiasts. Covering a distance of 7.853 kilometers and gaining 417 meters in elevation, this circular trail will take approximately 2 hours and 51 minutes to complete.
As you begin your journey, you will come across a convenient parking area right at the start of the trail. Be sure to park your vehicle securely before embarking on your adventure. About 1.14 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a drinking water spot for refilling your bottles and staying hydrated.
Continuing on, approximately 3.7 kilometers from the trailhead, you'll encounter a wilderness hut known as Bivacco fisso di Pian dell'Orzo, offering a resting place for weary hikers. Nearby, there are two water sources, with one being right on the trail.
As you trek further, 2.27 kilometers from the start, you'll find another spring with a tap for a quick water refill. Additionally, there are information points along the way to guide you through the route, with San Pellegrino_01 and San Pellegrino_02 being notable stops.
Towards the end of your adventure, be prepared for a challenging ascent as you climb back to the starting point. Along the way, make sure to check out Fontana del Carbonaio, a scenic spot to rest and enjoy the surroundings before completing the hike.
