This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of VWW 93.14 - Alte Salzstraße S0+. The trail is an out-and-back type, meaning you will return the same way you came. The total distance of the hike is 5.329 kilometers with an elevation gain of 353 meters, making it a moderate difficulty hike.

As you start your journey, you will come across the Jägeralp-Express parking area. This is a good spot to leave your vehicle before starting the hike. Approximately 2.61 kilometers into the trail, you will find a refreshing water source close by. Make sure to fill up your water bottle here.

Further along the trail at around 2.22 kilometers, you will come across the Punschhütte, a restaurant and alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy a meal. Continuing on, at 2.56 kilometers, there is a bench where you can rest and take in the scenic views.

As you near the end of the trail, at approximately 1.67 kilometers, you will see the historic Alpe Luchere wayside cross. This is a great opportunity to learn about the history of the area.
