Welcome to the Hühnerkogel hiking route! This challenging out-and-back trail covers a distance of 9.818 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1109 meters, making it a difficult yet rewarding hike. The estimated duration for this hike is approximately 5 hours and 2 minutes.

The trail starts at Parkplatz Bamacher, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on your adventure. As you make your way along the path, you will come across various points of interest. About 2 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Ennser Hütte, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments.

Continuing on, at around 1.99 kilometers from the start, you will reach a viewpoint known as Almkogel, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Further along the trail, at 3.3 kilometers from the start, you will encounter another peak called Brunnbacheck, providing another opportunity to soak in the breathtaking scenery.

As you approach the turnaround point of the hike, you will reach the highlight of the trail, the Hühnerkogel peak. Standing at 4.91 kilometers from the start, this peak offers a sense of accomplishment as you take in the expansive views from the summit.

Throughout the hike, you may also come across various information points and a wayside cross, providing insights into the history and natural features of the area.

It is important to note that this hike is of a difficult level due to its length and elevation gain. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear.
