Welcome to the hiking route to Marteau!

Located in a beautiful area with stunning natural landscapes, this route offers a 3.098-kilometer trek with an elevation gain of 33 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels. The estimated duration for this hike is around 47 minutes.

As you make your way along the trail, you will come across various points of interest. Starting off at Le Relais de Montaigle, a nearby restaurant, you can grab a bite to eat before embarking on your journey. Along the trail, you will also find a parking area for your convenience and a wayside shrine for a moment of reflection.

Further along, at about 1.55 kilometers into the hike, you will reach a viewpoint where you can enjoy panoramic vistas of the surrounding area. Additionally, there are several prehistoric caves, such as the Grotte préhistorique de Montaigle, scattered along the trail for you to explore.

For history enthusiasts, a visit to the Château de Montaigle, a historic castle located about 0.73 kilometers from the trail, is a must-see attraction.

As you near the end of your hike, you will encounter natural wonders such as the Caverne du Bois de la Saute and the Conduits de la crête de Montaigle, providing a unique outdoor experience.
