This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Sentiero Croce, leading to the sanctuary of San Salvatore, the peak of Pizzo San Salvatore, and finally to Rocchetta e Croce. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 2.334 kilometers with an elevation gain of 256 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. About 30 meters in, you will encounter the ruins of the former residence of Carluccio, adding a historic touch to your hike. Further along the trail, at a distance of 1.12 kilometers from the start, you will find the entrance to the Grotta di San Michele, a cave worth exploring.
Continuing on, you will pass by a wayside cross and a drinking water point, conveniently located for hikers.
