This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Sentiero Croce, leading to the sanctuary of San Salvatore, the peak of Pizzo San Salvatore, and finally to Rocchetta e Croce. The trail is an out-and-back type, covering a distance of 2.334 kilometers with an elevation gain of 256 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.

As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. About 30 meters in, you will encounter the ruins of the former residence of Carluccio, adding a historic touch to your hike. Further along the trail, at a distance of 1.12 kilometers from the start, you will find the entrance to the Grotta di San Michele, a cave worth exploring.

Continuing on, you will pass by a wayside cross and a drinking water point, conveniently located for hikers. At around 1.17 kilometers from the start, there is a viewpoint where you can pause and take in the stunning scenery around you. As you approach the midpoint of the trail, another wayside cross awaits, adding to the historical charm of the route.
