This extremely difficult hiking route will take you through a challenging 10.9-kilometer trail with an elevation gain of 1232 meters. The route is an out-and-back type, leading to the stunning destination of Rupprechtseck.

Starting off, you will pass by Gasthaus Etrachsee, a cozy restaurant where you can fuel up before the hike. Just a few meters away, you will find a convenient parking area for your vehicle.

As you make your way along the trail, approximately 3.9 kilometers from the start, you will encounter a refreshing water source. Make sure to fill your water bottles here as this is the last opportunity for a while.

Continuing on, at around 2.33 kilometers from the start, you will come across a beautiful spring where you can take a moment to rest and enjoy the surroundings.

The highlight of the hike is reaching the peaks of Rupprechtseck and Arfeld, located at approximately 5.46 and 4.58 kilometers from the start respectively. The breathtaking views from these vantage points are truly worth the effort.

On your way back, you can stop by Etrachsee, a picturesque lake situated just a stone's throw away from the trail.

Due to the length and elevation of the hike, it is crucial to come prepared with plenty of water, snacks, proper hiking gear, and to check the weather forecast beforehand. The difficulty level of this hike is not to be underestimated, so ensure you are in good physical condition before embarking on this challenging adventure.
