This challenging hiking route will take you to the Sommet de Denjuan, with a total distance of 11.6 kilometers and an elevation gain of 927 meters. The estimated duration for this hike is 5 hours.
Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area at the beginning of the route. Approximately 4.9 kilometers into the hike, you will come across the beautiful Lac de Juan, a perfect spot for a rest and some scenic views.
As you continue on, at around 1.7 kilometers from the start, you will see the Secteur de Juan, a climbing area that adds an adventurous element to the hike. A bit further along, at 2.96 kilometers, you will reach the Cirque de Juan, an interesting geological formation worth exploring.
The highlight of the hike is the Sommet de Denjuan, which you will reach after 5.8 kilometers of trekking. From this peak, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. If you're up for more exploration, at the same distance you will find the Grotte de Juan, a cave entrance waiting to be discovered.
