This hiking route takes you through the stunning natural beauty of the area surrounding Waldhornalm. With a total distance of 14.054 kilometers and an elevation gain of 829 meters, this trail is rated as extremely difficult, so be prepared for a challenging trek.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by the picturesque Riesachsee, located 2.43 kilometers from the starting point. The trail will lead you past the Gasthof Zum Riesachfall, a restaurant only 0.05 kilometers from the trail, where you can enjoy a meal and refuel for the rest of your hike.
Further along the route, at the 6.27-kilometer mark, you will find the Preintalerhütte alpine hut, a perfect spot to take a break and soak in the surrounding views. Additionally, the Kleiner Riesachfall waterfall is located 0.27 kilometers from the trail, offering a refreshing sight along the way.
