This challenging hiking route will take you to the breathtaking Gamskarspitze peak in the beautiful mountainous area. The trail is an out-and-back type, totaling 11.071 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1133 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding journey.

As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area located at the beginning of the trail. As you continue, you will pass by the Gedenktafel Pfeiffer memorial, around 4.76 kilometers from the start. Further along the trail, at a distance of 3.09 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Ochsenkarhöhe saddle, where you can take a break and enjoy the scenic views.

Midway through the hike, at approximately 3.84 kilometers from the start, you will encounter the Tritachkogel peak, adding to the picturesque landscape of the route. Near the end of the trail, at 3.6 kilometers from the start, you will find the Scheibleck peak, offering panoramic views of the surrounding area.

Finally, after a challenging ascent, you will reach the main highlight of the hike - the Gamskarspitze peak, situated 5.54 kilometers from the start. From the summit, you can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, making the effort worthwhile.
