This hiking route will take you along the GR-11 Senda Pirenaica in the beautiful Panticosa area. The trail is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 1.579 kilometers and an elevation gain of 143 meters, making it an easy route suitable for hikers of all levels.
As you start your hike, you will come across the Refugio Casa de Piedra, an alpine hut located 0.2 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. This is a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy the scenery. Further along the trail at 0.2 kilometers, there is a natural water source where you can refill your water bottles.
Continuing on, at 0.04 kilometers into the hike, you will find another water source closer to the trail. As you reach the midway point at 0.58 kilometers, you will come across the Mirador del Balneario, a viewpoint offering stunning views of the surroundings.
At 0.79 kilometers, you will encounter the Cascada, a beautiful waterfall worth stopping to admire. Close by, at 0.79 kilometers, there is another waterfall known as Mirador del Pino, adding to the natural beauty of the area.
Before heading back, make sure to check out the Parking pernocta which is conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. Overall, this hike offers a mix of natural beauty and amenities, with various viewpoints and water sources along the way.
