This hiking route takes you through the stunning landscape of the GR 11 - nueva variante area. With a total distance of 7.55 kilometers and an elevation gain of 574.0 meters, this hike is classified as difficult and is recommended for experienced hikers.
As you start your journey, you will come across the Refugio Casa de Piedra, a charming alpine hut located just 0.2 kilometers from the trailhead. This is a great spot to rest and take in the surrounding views before continuing on your adventure. Throughout the hike, you will also encounter several water sources, such as Embalse de Bachimaña Bajo and various natural water spots along the trail.
Midway through the hike, at a distance of 3.36 kilometers from the start, you will find the Refugio de los Ibones de Bachimaña, another alpine hut where you can take a break and refuel. As you continue your journey, be sure to visit the Cascada del Fraile, a beautiful waterfall 2.51 kilometers from the start, and the Mirador del Pino, a scenic viewpoint 0.52 kilometers from the start.
Towards the end of the hike, you will pass by several more water sources and shelters, including Mirador del Balneario and Refugió casa de piedra. Finally, make your way back to the trailhead, taking in the breathtaking views and enjoying the natural beauty of the GR 11 - nueva variante area.
