This extremely difficult 11.515-kilometer out-and-back hiking route takes adventurers through the stunning alpine scenery of the Turn area. The trail features a challenging elevation gain of 2302 meters and is estimated to take around 8 hours and 25 minutes to complete.
Starting at the designated parking area, hikers will embark on their journey towards the first point of interest, the information point located 2.21 kilometers from the start. As you continue your ascent, you will come across the Koča na Gozdu alpine hut, just 0.04 kilometers from the trail, offering a cozy retreat for a break.
Further along the trail, at approximately 3.85 kilometers from the start, you will reach the majestic peak of Prisank, providing breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes. As you push forward, the trail leads you to Zadnji Prisank and Zvoniki peaks at 4.73 and 4.12 kilometers from the start respectively, showcasing the rugged beauty of the natural terrain.
Midway through the hike, at 5.76 kilometers from the beginning, you will encounter the scenic saddle of Škrbina v Zadnjem Prisojniku, offering a perfect spot to rest and take in the surroundings. Continuing onwards, hikers will reach the peaks of Vrh Kraj sten, Zvoniki, and Turn, each providing unique vantage points of the alpine landscape.
The route culminates with the Kajzljeva škrbina saddle at 4.57 kilometers from the start, offering a final glimpse of the stunning mountain scenery before heading back the way you came.
As this hike is considered extremely difficult due to its length and elevation gain, it is crucial to be well-prepared with proper gear, sufficient water, and energy-boosting snacks.
