Further along, at 1.24 kilometers, there are historic landmarks such as a monument and a wayside shrine worth exploring.
The highlight of the hike is reaching Monte Pizzilli, a peak located at around 6.93 kilometers from the start. The panoramic views from the summit are spectacular and reward you for your efforts.
On your way back, you can stop by another drinking water station around 1.26 kilometers from the start to rehydrate before completing the trail.
