Welcome to Mendelssohnweg, a challenging hiking route with a total distance of 14.7 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1225 meters. This route is classified as extremely difficult, so make sure you are well-prepared before embarking on this adventure.

Starting off, you will come across the breathtaking Trümmelbachfälle waterfall, located just 0.36 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Take a moment to marvel at the cascading waters before continuing on your journey. Along the way, you will also pass by a parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before starting the hike.

As you make your way through the rugged terrain, approximately 7.36 kilometers into the hike, you will encounter a serene water feature that adds to the natural beauty of the surroundings. This is a great spot to take a break and replenish your water supply.

Further along the trail, at the 6.14-kilometer mark, you will find Wengernalp, a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat and refuel for the remainder of the hike. Additionally, there are informational points scattered throughout the trail, providing insights into the local flora, fauna, and history of the area.

For the return journey, you can take advantage of the various benches located at different points along the trail, offering a chance to rest and take in the panoramic views. Remember to stay hydrated by utilizing the drinking water stations available at certain intervals.
