This challenging 11.28-kilometer out-and-back hiking route will lead you to the stunning Refugio de Monterrey in a beautiful natural area. The trail starts at a parking area, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on your journey.
As you start your hike, you will come across the refreshing Pilar de la Plaza Mayor where you can replenish your water supply. Further along the trail, you will encounter the picturesque Mirador del Molino, offering breathtaking views of the surroundings. Be sure to stop by the Area Recreativa el Nacimiento for a relaxing break before continuing on your adventure.
Throughout the hike, you will find several drinking water points such as Pilar de la Mateana and Pilar Fuente Nueva, ensuring you stay hydrated along the way. For a more leisurely break, the Área Recreativa de Monterrey and Área Recreativa de Monterrey offer perfect picnic spots to enjoy a peaceful meal amidst nature.
