This hiking route is located in a beautiful area with stunning natural scenery. The trail is an out-and-back type, leading to the destination point of Col de Craberous. With a total distance of 13.387 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1193 meters, this hike is classified as extremely difficult and is suitable for experienced hikers.
As you begin your journey, you will pass by several points of interest along the trail. At the start of the hike, you will come across a parking area, which is perfect for leaving your vehicle before starting the adventure. As you continue on, you will encounter Étang d'Eychelle, a picturesque water feature located approximately 3.02 kilometers from the trail start.
Further along the trail, at around 1.45 kilometers from the start, you will find Cabane du Col d'Eliet, a wilderness hut where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Continuing on, at approximately 3.26 kilometers from the start, you will reach Source Lac d'Eychelle, a natural spring providing refreshing water.
Midway through the hike, at the 6.69-kilometer mark, you will reach Col de Craberous, a peak offering breathtaking panoramic views of the area. Along the way, make sure to stop by the various water sources and wilderness huts for rest and hydration.
