This extremely difficult hiking route will take you through the stunning scenery of the Old Goat Glacier Trailhead area. The trail starts at the Old Goat Glacier Trailhead parking lot, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on your adventure.
As you make your way along the trail, you'll come across Spray Lakes West campsite, a perfect spot to rest and take in the surroundings about 0.68 kilometers into the hike. Further along, at approximately 1.3 kilometers from the start, you'll find another campsite at Spray Lakes West.
One of the main highlights of this hike is reaching the peak of Big Sister, also known as Faith Peak, which is located about 4.73 kilometers from the starting point. The stunning views from the peak make the challenging climb well worth it.
Along the way, there is a picnic site located at around 1.25 kilometers from the start, providing a great spot to refuel and enjoy a meal surrounded by nature.
This out-and-back route covers a total distance of 9.457 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1212 meters, making it a physically demanding hike that is best suited for experienced hikers.
