This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Strada forestale Giogomalo, offering stunning views and opportunities to explore various points of interest along the way.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by Refugio Barricata, an alpine hut just 0.03 kilometers from the start, where you can take a break and enjoy some refreshments. As you continue on, at 0.07 kilometers from the start, you will come across a historic wayside shrine.

Further along the trail, at 0.26 kilometers from the start, you will find a natural water source for refilling your water bottles. As you hike on, at 0.43 kilometers from the start, there is another water source off the trail.

Midway through your hike, at 3.95 kilometers from the start, you will reach Cippo n. 1, a historic monument marking a significant point along the trail. Nearby, there is also Monte Cucco, a peak with a viewpoint offering panoramic views of the surroundings.

For a bit of adventure, 3.78 kilometers from the start, you can explore Pozzo Nicola, a cave entrance. And at 0.11 kilometers from the start, you will find another cave entrance at Pozzo della Scura.

Towards the end of the trail, at 1.69 kilometers from the start, you will reach Colle Lagosin, another peak with beautiful views. Finally, at 3.95 kilometers from the start, you can visit Anepoz, a historic monument, before heading back the way you came.

This out-and-back trail covers a distance of 7.909 kilometers with an elevation gain of 309 meters, making it a difficult hike that offers a rewarding challenge for experienced hikers.
