This extremely difficult out-and-back hiking route takes you to the beautiful area of Bettmerhorn, covering a distance of 14.456 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1587 meters. The total duration of the hike is approximately 7 hours and 18 minutes.

The trail starts at a parking area where you can leave your vehicle for a fee. As you begin your journey, you will come across various points of interest. About 3.21 kilometers from the start, you will find the Q-Stall bar, a great spot for a quick refreshment.

Further along the trail at 2.7 kilometers, you'll encounter Albi's Mountain Rock Café, offering a cozy ambiance with a website for more information. As you continue, at the 5.98 kilometer mark, you'll find the Hohbalm information point where you can learn more about the surroundings.

Midway through the hike at 6.51 kilometers, you'll come across Gletscherblick, a perfect place to pause and take in the breathtaking views. Along the way back, make sure to stop by the Walliser Stube restaurant at 3.05 kilometers for a delicious meal.

Towards the endpoint of the trail at 7.23 kilometers, you'll reach the Bettmerhorn peak, offering stunning panoramic views of the area. Nearby, the Bergrestaurant Bettmerhorn restaurant at 6.54 kilometers provides a wheelchair-accessible dining experience.

Throughout the hike, you'll also find various benches, drinking water spots, and picnic sites to rest and rejuvenate. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before embarking on this challenging journey. Happy hiking!
