This challenging 11.3-kilometer Gemsenweg hike offers stunning views and a mix of natural beauty and cultural points of interest. The route starts at Lauterbrunnen, where you can find information at the Rail Travel Office. As you begin the hike, you'll pass by the Santos Fine Food pub and Rocks Bar for some sustenance options.
Midway through the hike, at around 2.74 kilometers from the start, you'll find Wengen Tourismus with its informative tourism center. Continuing on, at 2.75 kilometers, Café Gruebi provides a perfect spot to take a break and enjoy a hot drink. Additionally, at 4.58 kilometers, you'll find benches along the trail to rest and take in the beautiful surroundings.
As you near the end of the hike, around 5.43 kilometers from the start, there are more benches and a shelter called Cave, providing a serene spot to relax before finishing the trail. The Base Cafe is also close to the end, offering a final refreshment option before completing the circular route.
