This challenging hiking route takes you on a 9.9-kilometer circular adventure through the stunning area surrounding Grande Jumelle. With an elevation gain of 780 meters, this hike is sure to test your endurance and reward you with breathtaking views.
Starting at the parking area, you will begin your journey with a gentle ascent towards Col de Taney, where you can find an information point to learn more about the area. As you continue along the trail, you will pass by a couple of drinking water spots to refill your supplies.
After about 4.5 kilometers, you'll reach Refuge La Vouivre, where you can take a well-deserved break and enjoy the tranquility of the alpine hut. From here, the trail will lead you past some picturesque water features before reaching the peak of Grande Jumelle.
At the summit, you'll be treated to panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including Petite Jumelle in the distance. Take some time to soak in the beauty of the mountains before beginning your descent back towards the starting point.
