This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Mitchells Track in Banks Peninsula Community. The trail is a super easy 1.07 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 42 meters, making it suitable for hikers of all skill levels.
As you start your journey, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. This is a convenient spot for you to park your vehicle before starting the hike. About halfway along the trail, you will reach a stunning viewpoint where you can take in breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
A short distance away from the trail, at 0.02 kilometers from the start, is the iconic Sign of the Kiwi cafe and attraction. This historic building is a great place to take a break and perhaps grab a bite to eat or learn more about the area.
Further along the trail, at 0.45 kilometers from the start, you will find a peaceful seat where you can rest and enjoy the scenery. Additionally, at the same distance from the start, there is a drinking water station to refill your bottles and stay hydrated.
Towards the end of the trail, at 0.02 kilometers from the start, you will reach the Sign of the Kiwi information center and restaurant. Here, you can gather information about the area, admire a historic monument, or indulge in a delicious meal.
