This hiking route takes you through a challenging but rewarding 14.212 kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1085 meters, estimated to take around 6 hours. The trail starts at Lago dell'Oro, a beautiful lake surrounded by nature.
As you begin your hike, you'll come across parking areas for your convenience. Along the trail, you'll find informational spots providing interesting insights into the area's history and geography. About 5.99 kilometers into the hike, you'll reach Passo del Diavolo, a scenic saddle point offering panoramic views of the surroundings.
As you continue on, you'll pass by Monte Chiamossero est and Monte Chiamossero ovest, two peaks adding varying terrain to your hike. Along the way, you'll encounter Passo della Bastera, another picturesque saddle point worth a stop for some rest and to soak in the views.
At about 2.42 kilometers into the hike, you'll find a drinking water spot to refill your supplies. And just 0.09 kilometers away from the trail, there's Ange Blanc, a restaurant where you can grab a bite to eat.
This out-and-back route is extremely difficult due to its length and elevation, so make sure to come prepared with plenty of water, proper hiking gear, and check the weather forecast before starting your journey.
