Located in the Unterberghorn region, this extremely difficult hiking route covers a distance of 12.727 kilometers with an elevation gain of 1095.0 meters. The total duration for this challenging hike is approximately 5 hours and 41 minutes.

Starting off at the trailhead, hikers will first come across a parking lot, which is conveniently located at the beginning of the route. As you continue along the trail, about 5.77 kilometers in, you will reach the Unterberghornhütte, a restaurant perfect for a mid-hike break to refuel and recharge.

Further along the path, at around 4.79 kilometers into the hike, you will find the Bärenhütte, an alpine hut offering a cozy spot to rest and take in the surrounding scenery. Additionally, the Scheibenwaldhütte is situated about 3.16 kilometers from the start, providing another excellent dining option along the trail.

As you push forward, at approximately 6.36 kilometers in, you'll reach the Unterberghorn peak, a natural landmark offering stunning panoramic views of the area. For those interested in historical facts, a gallows landmark can be found around 3.84 kilometers from the start.

Throughout the hike, there are several benches strategically placed along the trail for hikers to take a break and enjoy the views. Information stations are also located at various points providing insight into the area's history and points of interest.
