The Kaiser-Franz-Josef-Weg hiking route is located in a beautiful area with stunning natural scenery. The route is an out-and-back trail with a total distance of 3.34 kilometers and an elevation gain of 316 meters, making it of moderate difficulty.
As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area right at the beginning of the trail. About 0.09 kilometers into the hike, you will find an information point where you can learn more about the area. Further along the trail, at around 0.34 kilometers, you will spot a historic wayside cross.
The trail also passes by several water features, with some being closer to the trail than others. Some are right by the trail, providing a peaceful and scenic resting spot. It's always a good idea to bring enough water for the hike, especially on warmer days.
Midway through the hike, at around 1.26 kilometers, you will find benches where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Towards the end of the trail, at 1.21 kilometers, you will come across the Grünwaslkreuz wayside cross, adding a touch of history to your outdoor experience.
