This extremely difficult hike will take you on a 13.484-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 985 meters along the Trace de la Chute du Galion trail in Guadeloupe.
Starting at the parking area near the 1st and 2nd Chutes du Carbet, you will venture into the lush tropical forest. Along the way, you will encounter various points of interest.
At the beginning of the trail, you'll find Lac Flammarion, a serene water feature just 3.88 kilometers from the starting point. About 0.1 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across an information point with a fee. Continuing on, at 0.12 kilometers, there is a picnic site where you can take a break and enjoy the surroundings.
As you trek further, at around 0.18 kilometers, you'll be treated to a viewpoint offering a glimpse of two of the Chutes du Carbet waterfalls. Midway through the hike, at 6.74 kilometers, you'll reach the stunning Cascade de la Parabole waterfall and another viewpoint.
Near the end of the trail, at 4.03 kilometers, you'll find La Citerne peak, providing a panoramic view of the area. Finally, at 13.484 kilometers, you'll reach the endpoint of the trail.
