This challenging 11.5-kilometer circular hiking route will lead you through the rugged and beautiful terrain surrounding Sassu Mancinu peak. The trail offers stunning views and a chance to explore various points of interest along the way.
Starting at the parking area near Trebula Baliensis archaeological site, you'll first pass by the remnants of this ancient settlement dating back to Roman times. As you continue on, you'll come across Valico di Treglia saddle, a natural formation offering a picturesque spot to rest and take in the surrounding landscape.
Midway through the hike, you'll reach Sassu Mancinu peak itself, standing tall at 5.62 kilometers from the start. This is a great place to pause and appreciate the panoramic views before continuing on. Nearby, you'll find a shelter for a quick break and a picnic site for a peaceful meal in nature.
As you make your way back towards the starting point, you can stop at Bar Tony cafe for a refreshing drink before completing the journey.
