Hiking : Punta Taiola - Est

This extremely difficult 13.5-kilometer circular hiking route will take you to the stunning area of Punta Taiola - Est. The trail offers a challenging elevation gain of 1381 meters and is estimated to take around 6 hours and 35 minutes to complete. Before embarking on this adventure, make sure to pack plenty of water and snacks, and check the weather forecast.

As you start your journey, you will come across a wayside shrine about 0.89 kilometers from the beginning of the trail. Further along the path, at 3.48 kilometers, you will find Rifugio San Marco, an alpine hut where you can take a rest and enjoy the surrounding nature.

Throughout the hike, you will encounter several amenities such as parking areas, drinking water sources, and benches to take a break and admire the scenery. At around 0.11 kilometers into the trail, you will find a drinking water spot, followed by benches located at various points along the route.

Midway through the hike, at 3.5 kilometers, there is an information point and a wayside shrine for you to explore. As you continue onwards, you will reach Forcella Grande, a natural saddle, at 4.94 kilometers into the hike.

Towards the end of the trail, at 6.13 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Punta Taiola - Est, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the area. Make sure to capture the scenery before heading back.

Before concluding your hike, at 5.7 kilometers, you will encounter Forcella Pala di Dentro, another natural saddle, and a wayside cross. Finally, at 6.13 kilometers, you will reach the peak of Punta Taiola - Ovest, marking the completion of your challenging and rewarding journey.
