Hiking : Punta Taiola - Est

This hiking route will take you through the beautiful area surrounding Punta Taiola - Est. The trail is approximately 13.5 kilometers long with an elevation gain of 1381 meters, making it an extremely difficult hike that will take around 6 hours and 30 minutes to complete.

As you start your journey, you will come across a wayside shrine just 0.89 kilometers from the trailhead. Further along the trail, at 3.48 kilometers, you will find Rifugio San Marco, an alpine hut where you can take a break and enjoy the scenic views. There are also several benches and drinking water stations conveniently located along the trail to rest and rehydrate.

Around the midway point of the hike, at 3.5 kilometers, there is an information point and a historic wayside shrine to explore. As you continue, you will reach Forcella Grande, a natural saddle, at 4.94 kilometers from the start. Nearby, at 5.7 kilometers, you will find Forcella Pala di Dentro, another saddle, and a historic wayside cross.

At 6.13 kilometers, you will reach Punta Taiola - Est, a peak where you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area. Just a short distance away, at 6.13 kilometers, is another peak called Punta Taiola - Ovest. Along the trail, there are additional peaks and points of interest to discover, such as Col de Chi de Os at 3.48 kilometers.

While this hike offers stunning views and unique landmarks, it is important to note that it is a challenging trek due to its length and elevation gain. Make sure to bring plenty of water, snacks, and appropriate hiking gear. Additionally, check the weather forecast before heading out to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on the trail.
