This challenging hiking route will take you to the stunning Cabane de Louvie in the Swiss Alps. The trail covers a distance of 7.5 kilometers with an elevation gain of 775 meters, making it a difficult but rewarding journey.

Starting at the designated parking area, you will begin your ascent towards Cabane de Louvie. Along the way, you will pass by informational points providing insights into the surrounding area. Be sure to stop by the quaint restaurant, Le Mazot, located at the beginning of the trail for a quick break before continuing your trek.

As you make your way up the trail, you will encounter several fountains where you can refill your water bottle and benches to rest and take in the beautiful mountain views. Approximately 3.4 kilometers into the hike, you will reach the scenic Lac de Louvie, a perfect spot to take a breather and admire the tranquil waters.

Further along the trail, you will come across Bassin de compensation de Fionnay and Bassin de compensation de Fionnay, two artificial water basins nestled amidst the rugged landscape. These sights offer a unique contrast to the natural beauty of the surroundings.

Finally, after a challenging but invigorating hike, you will reach Cabane de Louvie, an alpine hut where you can rest and enjoy a well-deserved meal. Take some time to soak in the mountain ambiance before retracing your steps back to the starting point.
