The hike starts at the Mühle parking lot, where you can leave your vehicle before embarking on this adventure. As you begin your journey, you'll come across the Broch information point, providing you with interesting facts about the area. Moving forward, you'll pass by the Brochhütte restaurant, a perfect spot to grab a bite to eat before continuing on.

Continuing on the trail, you'll reach the Schwarzwaldalp information point, where you can learn more about the surrounding area. Nearby, the Schwarzwaldalp restaurant is a great place to refuel and take in the stunning mountain views. As you hike further, you'll encounter the Pfanni information point, offering more insights into the natural beauty of the area.

Midway through the hike, at around 4.07 kilometers from the start, you'll find another information point to explore. From there, continue onwards towards the Hornseeli lake, which is approximately 4.81 kilometers from the start of the trail. The lake is a perfect spot to take in the serene beauty of the alpine surroundings and is a great place for a rest before you make your way back.

With a total elevation gain of 719 meters, this hike is rated as difficult and is best suited for experienced hikers.
