This hiking route takes you through the beautiful area of Strada forestale Fontana dei Gai in Trento. The route is an out-and-back type, with a total distance of 2.872 kilometers and an elevation gain of 191 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.
As you start your hike, you will come across a parking area conveniently located at the beginning of the trail. Shortly after, at around 0.03 kilometers from the start, you will find the Fontana del Gai, a drinking water source where you can refill your water bottles.
Continuing on the trail, at about 0.31 kilometers from the start, you will encounter an information point providing insights about the area. As you trek further, at 1.1 kilometers from the start, another information point named Stoi de Chegul will offer more details about the surroundings.
Around 1.44 kilometers into the hike, you will reach a viewpoint that offers stunning panoramic views. Additionally, in the same vicinity, there are historic ruins, adding a touch of cultural significance to your journey.
