The trail starts at a convenient parking area, located just 0.1 kilometers from the beginning of the route. You'll pass by the Kirchenwirt restaurant at the same distance, where you can fuel up before embarking on your journey. Along the way, you'll also find water sources at 0.02 and 0.1 kilometers from the start, ensuring you stay hydrated throughout your trek.

As you continue on the trail, you'll reach St. Johann am Tauern Ortsmitte shelter at the 0.1 kilometer mark, providing a resting spot for hikers to catch their breath. Midway through the hike, at 3.98 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter the peak of Schleifeck, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

For more sustenance, the Gasthaus Kai Bauer restaurant is located right at the start of the trail, offering a perfect place to refuel after completing the hike. Remember to bring plenty of water, snacks, and check the weather forecast before setting out on this challenging adventure.
