Located in the South Fraser Canyon/Sunshine Valley area, the Hope Mountain Trail offers a challenging and rewarding hiking experience. With a total distance of 182.259 kilometers and an elevation gain of 2655.0 meters, this hike is classified as extremely difficult and should only be attempted by experienced hikers.
As you begin your journey, you will come across various points of interest along the trail. About 69.65 kilometers from the start, you'll find a parking area. Further along at 13.29 kilometers, there is a water source directly on the trail, providing a refreshing break for hikers. Additionally, at 14.33 kilometers, another water source can be found off the trail.
It is important to bring an ample water supply and snacks as the trail progresses. There are multiple water sources along the way, but it's always best to be prepared. Checking the weather forecast before heading out is also advised due to the challenging nature of the hike.
