This extremely difficult hiking route will take you on a 10.6-kilometer journey with an elevation gain of 1329 meters in total. The route is an out-and-back trail leading to the stunning Fischegelsee destination.

Starting at the parking area near Neunkirchner Hütte, you will begin your adventure surrounded by the beauty of nature. After a short distance, you will come across a water source at 0.06 kilometers from the start, perfect for refilling your water bottles. Continuing on, at 0.13 kilometers from the start, you will pass by another alpine hut for a well-deserved rest.

As you trek further along the trail, you will encounter the picturesque Fischegelsee at around 5.3 kilometers from the start. This serene waterbody provides a perfect spot for a relaxing break before you push on. Additionally, at 5.3 kilometers, you will find another water source for hydration.

Throughout the hike, you will pass by several other water sources, viewpoints, a waterfall named Eselsbachfall, and even the notable peak of Schoberspitze at 2.96 kilometers from the start. The trail also offers benches for a quick rest and information points to learn more about the surrounding area.
