This extremely difficult circular hiking route will take you through the stunning area around Pech Poulaille. The 16.036-kilometer trail offers a challenging adventure with a total elevation gain of 277 meters.
As you start your journey, you'll come across several points of interest. At the beginning of the trail, you'll find a parking area to leave your vehicle. Further along, about 0.35 kilometers from the start, there's a beautiful beach where you can take in the natural surroundings.
Continuing on, at approximately 0.32 kilometers from the start, you'll pass by historic buildings such as Maison Lautier, Maison Castel, Maison des Soeurs de Nevers, and Maison du Patrimoine. These structures offer a glimpse into the area's rich history.
Around 0.35 kilometers from the start, you'll encounter city walls and an attraction known as Porte de l'Eau. As you trek further, you'll find a picturesque picnic site and additional parking facilities for your convenience.
Midway through the hike, at 7.54 kilometers from the start, you'll reach the peak of Pech Poulaille, providing a rewarding panoramic view of the surroundings.
Throughout the trail, you'll also come across various dining options like L'Affenage, La Cocotte Fêlée, Café de la Promenade, and Le 1900 Pizzeria. Additionally, there are spots for drinking water, benches, and even fast-food options to refuel along the way.
