Hiking : Piovatte d'Egua

This extremely difficult hiking route takes you through the breathtaking Piovatte d'Egua area, offering stunning views and a challenging adventure.

Starting at the trailhead, you will first come across a parking area where you can leave your vehicle. Just a short distance away, you will find the well-equipped camping site "Area Attrezzata Le Giare" if you wish to stay overnight before or after your hike.

As you continue on the trail, you will pass by several parking areas for your convenience, with some of them closer to the start while others are further along the route. Make sure to carry enough water with you as drinking water spots are available midway and near the end of the trail.

Midway through the hike, you will reach the peak of Piovatte d'Egua, a natural wonder worth the effort. From here, you can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding area before heading back. If you prefer a longer stay, the Rifugio Alpenrose alpine hut offers a peaceful retreat not far from the main trail.

With a total distance of 11.9 kilometers and an elevation gain of 1266 meters, this hike is not for the faint-hearted. Make sure to check the weather forecast before embarking on this journey and come prepared with proper hiking gear and essentials.
