This hiking route takes you through a scenic area with beautiful viewpoints and shelters along the way. The trail is an out-and-back route with a total distance of 3.232 kilometers and an elevation gain of 69 meters, making it an easy hike suitable for all skill levels.

Starting at the trailhead, you will pass by a parking area at the beginning of the route. About 0.27 kilometers into the hike, you'll come across another parking area. As you continue on, at the 0.22 kilometer mark, there is an information point named 湖田國小步道解說 where you can learn more about the area.

Midway through the hike, at around 1.45 kilometers in, you will find several shelters for resting and taking in the surroundings. These shelters provide a perfect spot to relax and recharge before continuing on. At the 1.56 kilometer mark, there is another shelter along the trail.

As you near the endpoint of the hike, at 1.62 kilometers, you will reach the highlight of the route, 百年楓香觀景台 (Centennial Maple Fragrance Viewing Platform). This viewpoint offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and is the perfect place to stop and take in the beauty of the area.

Throughout the hike, make sure to bring plenty of water, wear appropriate footwear, and check the weather forecast before embarking on the journey. The trail is well-marked and relatively easy, making it a great option for a leisurely outdoor adventure.
